Students in British Columbia may be eligible to apply for financial assistance through StudentAid BC, a government program that helps eligible students pay for post-secondary education through loans, grants, scholarships, and other financial supports.
To apply for StudentAid BC funding, students must first be enrolled in an eligible program at Kosmetae Academy. Students are responsible for confirming their own eligibility and submitting their application directly through StudentAid BC.
Students applying as full-time students should follow the "How to Apply as a Full-Time Student" process on the StudentAid BC website. The application is completed online through the StudentAid BC student account. Students may be required to log in using a BC Services Card account and provide information about their educational program, income, expenses, family situation, residency, citizenship or immigration status, and other financial information.
Apply online through your StudentAid BC student account. Depending on your circumstances, you may need to provide supporting documents such as proof of identity, proof of citizenship or immigration status, income information, or academic records.
StudentAid BC reviews your financial need and sends a Notification of Assessment showing the type and amount of funding you may receive, including any loans and grants you qualify for.
If approved, you may need to complete a Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA) — a legal agreement tied to receiving and repaying your funding.
Before funds are released, Kosmetae Academy may be required to confirm your enrolment with StudentAid BC.
Once the MSFAA is complete, enrolment is confirmed, and the disbursement date arrives, funds may be deposited into your bank account or sent directly to Kosmetae Academy to pay tuition and eligible education-related costs.
